Fix squeaky annoying noises coming from your shoes.

Whether it is trying to sneak into a classroom, an office, a restaurant or simply just walking by a group of people, squeaky shoes can be embarrassing for you and a little annoying to even you and the people nearby.

There are various factors that could contribute to your footwear making such noises such as moisture trapped in them i.e when your sneakers get soaked in the rain, manufacturing mistakes, wear and tear e.t.c and unless this problem is majorly internal, there are few diy tips to fix this.

Firstly, you might wanna walk around a little in the house to figure out what direction the noise is coming from and once you know what part of the shoe is squeaking, sprinkle that area with baby or baking powder. This will absorb the noisy moisture and reduce noise from two shoe parts rubbing together.

If the noise is coming from the insole, simply lift the insole and sprinkle some powder along the inner seam but if the insoles are non-removable, rub the powder into the edge of the shoe base.

For footwear without insoles i.e flip flops, research has shown that you can put butter or oil on them. It might feel uncomfortable for a little while but you will get used to it as it dries and absorbs and for sandals like Birkenstock, well, they always squeak no matter what so you might just have to get used to them. You will get over the annoying sounds trust me, been there done that..lol

For shoes that are only squeaking because they are wet, a simple act of drying could do the trick ( check previous posts to know how to dry your shoes properly)

For manufacturing mistakes, it is advisable you return to the store or get a cobbler to fix it for you.
